During the challenging lockdown caused by the Covid19 pandemic, Rotolito donated numerous PCs to the students of Milan’s Rizzoli Institute of Graphic Arts, allowing them to continue taking classes by remote. This is just one example of our commitment to preserving the tradition and economic value of trades like graphic arts. The collaboration with the Rizzoli institute began in 2017, following an earlier collaboration with the Institute’s Directorate of Education. Emanuele Bandecchi, our Executive Sales & Marketing Director, subsequently became a member of the Board of Directors in an advisory role. Since 2018, we have printed almost 600 free copies of the calendar “La cartella del pubblicitario” (The publicist’s portfolio) created by final-year students who can use it as a portfolio to aid their future entry into the workforce.
In the same spirit, over the years, we have opened the doors to our facilities for free visits organised by various local graphic and visual arts schools, including the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Carlo Emilio Gadda, NABA, the Accademia di Belle Arti and CFP Bauer.
For some time, we have been putting together a project for the Rotolito Academy, which would appeal to young individuals looking for work in a vibrant, creative, stimulating and historically rich industry like ours. We are currently working on it and expect to get started soon.
